A Message from the Executive Director

Dear Friends,

Thank you for being an important part of the Bower Center for the Arts’ vibrant and creative community.

As 2021 comes to a close we have seen major changes to our world, but our mission has stayed the same.  We are still committed to providing a place where you can connect with others and enjoy an atmosphere of learning and personal growth through entertainment and education in the visual and performing arts.

COVID-19 has impacted all our homes, but we remain dedicated to finding new ways to fulfill your creative spirit.  We have ventured into virtual classes and exhibits, online shopping of our art, provided links to fun resources for all ages and returned to offering hands-on learning and in-person exhibits with the implementation of health and safety controls.

In 2021 after more than 15 months, we returned to offering our youth summer camps where more than 150 campers explored the arts through nature, music, theatre, clay, mosaics, painting, drawing and more!  AND, after more than 20 months we returned to live performances with a fall concert series that included jazz, bluegrass, a combination of traditional and Irish holiday music and a Christmas Carol One-Man show.

We have ambitious plans for 2022, including new exhibits and events, community collaborations, art outreach programs, a full year of live performances, learning opportunities and much more.  We look forward to continuing to be YOUR community arts center and look forward to seeing you soon!

As always, we appreciate your support, whatever the amount.  Thanks to the support of our community the Bower Center has been able to sustain our current activities, develop new programs, and be ready to tackle any new challenges that may come our way.  If you would like to make a donation, please CLICK HERE for our online opportunity.

Thank you in advance for your continued support and have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

With Gratitude,

Susan Martin

Executive Director

Art Heist Murder Mystery!

Join Bower Center for the Arts and Jump into Mystery as we offer a unique experience! Each guest will enter another world and become a character when they enter the Bower Center; roles will be supplied in advance, and you will sustain it for the length of the event. This fun, interactive event will have you asking questions of each of the other guests, searching for clues, and buying or selling information using fake money. In the end, you will decide who committed a murder and Art Heist crime, the motive, and the method.
