Important Update to Business Hours
|
Beginning next week Bower Center for the Arts will be updating our open hours. We will continue to be open on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, 11 am - 3 pm, however we will begin remaining open every Friday until 5 pm. So, our new hours on Friday will be 11 am - 5 pm.
We appreciate your understanding and look forward to continuing to provide our community with a safe haven for the arts in 2024.

Join us at the Bower Center for the Arts on February 17, 2024 from 6-9PM for
A Murder at the Gin Joint! This is an interactive murder mystery event where you will play a character, solve clues, and interrogate all of the suspects. You will laugh, talk, eat, and drink. In the end you will decide who committed the crime using your detective skills!
Tickets: $45 per person, $80 per couple

10th Annual Curry/Bower Exhibition Call For Artists
Entry Deadline is January 17, 2024. This annual exhibit is an all-media judged exhibit to honor Edna Curry and Dr. John Bower, Bower Center's primary benefactors

12th Annual National Juried Exhibition Call For Artists
Entry deadline is March 2, 2024. This is a national juried exhibition and is open to all artists over the age of 18.

Art In Motion National Juried Exhibition Call For Artists
Entry deadline is April 20, 2024. Regardless of the medium this exhibit is meant to express the excitement of movement.

The Suzie Viemeister Emerging Artist Studio Residency is established through the generosity of the Viemeister family to continue the legacy of Suzie Viemeister, exceptional Philanthropist and prolific supporter of the Arts in Bedford. Suzie had long inspired many in Bedford and the region with her unlimited enthusiasm and commitment to helping and supporting the Arts. As a generous champion for painters, sculptors, and other artists, this fund is established to continue her legacy.
Artists may submit applications beginning on December 1 through February 1, 2024. The announcement of the Emerging Artist award will take place in March 2024 with the residency scheduled to begin following the announcement. Requirements for submissions can be found on the Bower Center website at www.bowercenter.org. This program is intended to support promising artists in their formative years committed to advancing their own work and professional careers.
