Bower Center is For Lovers:

New LOVE Sign Installation & Ribbon Cutting

Bower Center for the Arts is excited to announce the unveiling of our new LOVE sign on Friday, June 30 at 11 AM. We will commemorate the unveiling with an official Ribbon Cutting in collaboration with the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce.

Light refreshments will follow.

The LOVE sign has been a collaborative project with the Virginia Tourism Corporation’s LOVEworks program and Liberty High School’s art students. Thanks to a grant from Virginia Tourism to support the supplies needed to complete the sign, the Bower Center coordinated with Liberty High School’s Art Instructor, Melissa Friedewald and her art students to develop the design and create the LOVE sign panels to be displayed on the side of our building.

The design selected represents arts & culture in our community and will be hung in a prominent, high traffic area which will be available for photos and selfies. Our guests and those in the community will be encouraged to take their photos with our sign and share their LOVE through a special hashtag to link to our social media and make posts on our blog on our website. Bower Center for the Arts LOVE sign will become one of more than 60 signs recognized by the Virginia Tourism Corporation in the Central Virginia area. The LOVEworks signs are a representation of the iconic Virginia is for Lovers slogan with more than 300+ LOVEworks around the state. LOVE can be found in every corner of the Commonwealth.
