Tickets are officially on sale for Art of Pairing: Bower at the Bayou, Bower Center for the Arts' signature fundraising event and a special celebration of the Center's 20th Anniversary. The event will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and promises an unforgettable evening inspired by the vibrant culture, music, and flavors of Louisiana.
This year's event honors our 20th Anniversary and Bower Center's founder and major benefactor Dr. John Bower, drawing inspiration from his Mississippi roots and a beloved early Bower Center tradition, the crawfish festival. Guests will enjoy live music from Music Road Co., authentic Creole cuisine from Bullet Bowls Food Truck & Catering, specialty beverages, the 14th Annual National Juried Exhibition and more.
The evening will also feature live caricature drawings by artist Kyle Edgell, a silent auction pairing artwork and unique local experiences, and opportunities to connect with fellow art lovers, artists, and community supporters. Proceeds directly support Bower Center's mission of providing quality arts programming, exhibitions, performances, and educational opportunities throughout the region. |

Art in Motion is a National Juried exhibition that celebrates the energy, excitement, and expression of movement in art. This exhibit explores the theme of motion through 2-D and 3-D works in any medium, including paintings, sculpture, video, photography, kinetic art, mobiles, mixed media, and more. Whether motion is physically present through moving elements or implied through composition and design, this exhibit showcases creative works that capture the dynamic power of movement.
