This exhibit includes all forms of fiber art: functional, wearable, and fine art, original in concept and design from across the country. Forty-six artworks by twenty-three artists were selected from AL, FL, GA, IL, MD, NC, NW, TX and VA.

     Join us on Friday, July 16 from 5 pm-7 pm for the Awards Reception at which time Judge Paula Golden will provide her remarks regarding the winning pieces.  The reception is open to the public.  Guests may also visit the 14th Annual Quilt Show at the Bedford Central Library which will remain open on this evening.

     The exhibit “Signs and Shibboleths” was inspired by the book “Hidden in Plain View – A Secret Story of Quilts and the Underground Railroad” by Jacqueline L. Tobin and Raymond C. Dobard, PhD. This exhibit was originally displayed at Goose Creek Studio in April 2020.  We are pleased to offer this exhibit once again in our Art Around the Corner on the Second Floor of the Bower Center.

    This year's concert series contains 4 concerts and a one-man Christmas Carol. Our bands include The Lenny Marcus Trio, NiteKAP, New Standard Bluegrass, and Grammy Nominated Lutenist Ronn McFarlane & Carolyn Surrick. Our final show is John Hardy's A Christmas Carol, a one-man show for the holiday season.  Tickets on sale now!
