Explore, Create, and Discover with CAB Kids at Bower Center for the Arts
 

Did you know that every visit to Bower Center for the Arts can become a creative adventure for the whole family?

 

Through our CAB Kids program, Bower Center offers free, family-friendly arts experiences designed to inspire imagination, creativity, and exploration. Whether you're visiting to enjoy our galleries, attend an event, or simply spend time together, CAB Kids provides engaging ways for children and families to connect with the arts.

 

Hands-On Activity Tables in Every Gallery

As you explore our exhibits, be sure to stop by the activity tables located in each of the galleries. Each table features a free, hands-on project inspired by the artwork currently on display, giving young visitors an opportunity to engage with the exhibits in a fun and interactive way. These activities encourage creativity while helping children look more closely at the art around them. 

 

Turn Your Visit into an Adventure

Every exhibit can become a treasure hunt with our CAB Kids Art Scavenger Hunt. Families are invited to search, explore, and learn as they make their way through the galleries. The scavenger hunt encourages children to discover artwork from a new perspective while building observation skills and making art exploration even more exciting.

 

Visit the CAB Kids Corner

One of our newest family-friendly additions is the CAB Kids Corner. This dedicated creative space offers free art supplies and materials where children can create their own masterpieces and take them home. It's a wonderful opportunity for young artists to express themselves and continue their creative journey beyond the galleries.

 

Creativity Beyond the Gallery Walls

The fun doesn't stop when your visit ends. Families can continue exploring their creativity at home through Bower Center's Art@Home resources, which offer free downloadable art projects perfect for weekends, homeschool enrichment, rainy days, or family creative time.

 

At Bower Center for the Arts, we believe every child deserves opportunities to discover, create, and explore. Thanks to CAB Kids, families can enjoy meaningful arts experiences together at no cost while building lasting memories through creativity.

Exhibits

Join us for the Awards Reception of the Art in Motion National Juried Exhibit on Friday, September 11 from 5-7 PM. Remarks and awards will be given at 6 PM.  Light refreshments will be available and the reception is open to the public.

 

Art in Motion is a national juried exhibition at Bower Center for the Arts that celebrates the energy, excitement, and expression of movement in art. Juried & Judged by Elsabé J. Dixon, Art in Motion showcases creative works that capture the dynamic power of movement.
