Exciting Leadership Transition at Bower Center for the Arts

Strengthening Our Mission, Expanding Our Reach

We are excited to share some important news about our team and the future of Bower Center for the Arts.

Effective August 1, 2025, Ryan Steffen, our current Communications & Guest Relations Coordinator, will become Executive Director. Ryan has brought creativity, enthusiasm, and a strong connection to our community during his time at Bower, and we are confident in his ability to lead us into this next chapter. He will remain on site, overseeing programs, operations, and staff.

At the same time, Susan Martin, who has served as Executive Director for the past six years, will step into the new position of Director of Development & Marketing. As she relocates to Florida, Susan will continue to work remotely, focusing on fundraising, donor engagement, and marketing strategies to support Bower’s long-term success. Her passion for the arts and deep commitment to our mission will continue to guide her efforts in this new role.

This thoughtful transition allows Bower Center to maintain strong leadership on site while expanding our ability to build support and visibility beyond Bedford. It reflects both continuity and growth and positions us to serve our community even more effectively.
