BCPS High School Invitational Exhibition

We’re excited to announce the opening of the Bedford County Public Schools High School Invitational Art Exhibition today, showcasing the creativity, skill, and imagination of talented high school artists from across the county.
Join us to celebrate the dedication of our educators and the outstanding accomplishments of our young artists. Make plans to attend
Art Awards Reception on Friday, April 24 from 5–6:30 PM (Award presentations begin at 6 PM). The High School Show runs through Saturday, May 2.
Gallery Hours: Wed.-Fri., 1 - 6 pm and Saturday, 11 am-3 pm

EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION CLOSES SOON!
Artists are encouraged to take advantage of early bird registration, which closes on May 2, for the Art in Motion National Juried Exhibition at Bower Center for the Arts.
This all‑media call invites 2‑D and 3‑D works that capture the excitement and expression of movement, with the exhibition on view August 13–September 26, 2026; early bird pricing offers a reduced entry fee before standard rates begin.

🐾🎨 Summer Camp Starts Here! 🎨🐾
Our first week of summer camp, Paws, Claws & Palettes, is almost here! Young artists will explore creativity inspired by their favorite furry, feathered, and scaled friends through hands-on art projects and imaginative fun.

Kick off summer with CAB Kids: Summer Explorers, a free, family‑friendly event on Saturday, June 13 from 12–2 PM at Bower Center for the Arts! Featuring a live, interactive performance by award‑winning children’s author and musician Sara Ernst, this joyful program invites kids to explore songs about bugs, bears, and farm life, learn to respect and observe nature, and create fun art projects like bug houses and leaf‑print butterflies all in a welcoming, creative space.
