BCPS Middle & High School Exhibitions 

We’re excited to announce the opening of the Bedford County Public Schools Middle School Art Exhibition today, showcasing the creativity, skill, and imagination of talented middle school artists from across the county.

 

Join us to celebrate the dedication of our educators and the outstanding accomplishments of our young artists. Make plans to attend 

Art Reception on Thursday, April 16 from 5–6:30 PM (Award presentations begin at 6 PM). The Middle School Show runs through Saturday, April 18.
 

Call for Artists

EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION CLOSES SOON!

 

Artists are encouraged to take advantage of early bird registration, which closes on May 2, for the Art in Motion National Juried Exhibition at Bower Center for the Arts.
 
This all‑media call invites 2‑D and 3‑D works that capture the excitement and expression of movement, with the exhibition on view August 13–September 26, 2026; early bird pricing offers a reduced entry fee before standard rates begin.
 

Concerts & Performances

This delightful cabaret evening takes us back to the classic singers: Sinatra, Clooney, Wilson, Fitzgerald, and more. Wynn and C.W. will bring back the wonderful songs of The Great American Songbook. Get your tickets before they are sold out!

Youth Summer Programs!

Mark your calendar for a fun-filled, family-friendly day! Bower Center for the Arts will be hosting a creative activity booth at the National D‑Day Memorial’s Family Day on Saturday, April 25, from 10:00 AM–3:00 PM, featuring hands-on art activities designed to spark imagination and creativity for all ages. Join us for a meaningful day of learning, play, and creativity in a historic setting. This is an event you won’t want to miss!
 
Give your young artist a summer full of creativity, discovery, and fun with Bower Center for the Arts’ Youth Summer Camps! Our camps offer hands-on, imaginative experiences that blend visual arts, storytelling, performance, and play, designed to build confidence, skills, and a lifelong love of the arts in a welcoming environment.
 
Explore all upcoming camps and find the perfect fit for your child ages 6-12 and 13-17.
 
Kick off summer with CAB Kids: Summer Explorers, a free, family‑friendly event on Saturday, June 13 from 12–2 PM at Bower Center for the Arts! Featuring a live, interactive performance by award‑winning children’s author and musician Sara Ernst, this joyful program invites kids to explore songs about bugs, bears, and farm life, learn to respect and observe nature, and create fun art projects like bug houses and leaf‑print butterflies all in a welcoming, creative space.
