BOWER UPDATE!

The first quarter of the year was filled with exciting progress and vibrant activity at Bower Center for the Arts!

We began the year with fresh upgrades to our facility, including a new coat of paint and beautiful new flooring in the Terrace Gallery. To expand our reach, we also invested in portable signage that now helps promote our mission and programs both in-house and throughout the community.

Creative energy is flowing in the new CAB Kids Corner, where a whimsical mural is coming to life in preparation for launching free, family‑friendly art activities. Art classes and workshops for youth and adults continued to thrive in clay and pottery, mosaics, painting, theatre, and more. CAB Kids also offered free Saturday family events, featuring a lively performance by Opera on the James and crowd‑pleasing juggling by Geoff Marsh.

Our heARTworks program welcomed participants from Harmony Day Center each month, fostering creativity, connection, and personal growth through hands-on art experiences. We rounded out the quarter with outstanding live performances by the Paddy Dougherty Quartet and the Big Band of the Blue Ridge and so much more!

Stay up-to-date with all our upcoming opportunities to get involved by visiting our website or follow our social media on facebook and instagram @bowercenter.
