The Maykers Market is back! Celebrate spring and shop local handmade goods at Bower Center for the Arts! With over two dozen exhibitors from the Bedford region, you are sure to find the perfect Mother’s Day gifts and spring treasures at the Spring Mayker's Market!
This event will also include our popular Mimosa punch, chances to win door prizes, a Spring Gift Basket raffle, free face painting and a maker’s space for kids to get creative!
VENDOR REGISTRATION OPEN! We are currently accepting Vendor Registrations. Merchandise must be hand-crafted, recycled or re-purposed. No re-sale of new or manufactured goods, please! Space is limited!
10 foot space $45 (10 x 5) 5 foot space $35 (6x 5 ) A floor plan will be released for all participants prior to the event. Placement will be determined based on vendor size, needs, and in order of registration received. Tear down before closing of the event at 3pm is not permitted. WIFI will be available throughout the building.
Submission must be approved before your space is reserved. BCA reserves the right to limit vendors with similar products. |

Wheel Throwing and Hand Building Basics for Adults April 19 - May 31, 9:30am-12pm on Tuesdays. Ready to try your hand at the potter’s wheel and or handbuilding? There will be helpful demonstrations and lots of hands-on time in this session. You will be learning the basics of wheel throwing, hand building, and surface decoration in this fun and casual class, taught by instructor Kim Clarke. $180 for the class, clay, and glazes. |

Beginning Wheel Throwing April 19 - May 24, 3-4pm on Tuesdays Beginners will receive an introduction to throwing techniques: centering clay, forming cylinders, bowls and plate forms. Glazing applications are also covered. Tuition is $160 |

Teen Ceramics (Ages 11-15) April 19 - May 24, 4:30-5:30pm on Tuesdays Geared towards experiencing many aspects of clay making, the students in this class will create handbuilt pottery and sculptures by acquiring basic skills of pinching, coiling and working with slabs, and also an introduction to the potter's wheel. Students will also be glazing all works with our studio’s array of colors. Tuition is $85 |

Youth Acrylic and Watercolor Painting with Judy Hylton April 20 - May 25, 4:30-5:30pm on Wednesdays Have fun being creative with basic to advanced painting with 3 lessons in acrylic and 3 lessons in watercolor techniques. Students will begin with themes like animals, sea and landscapes, and Folk Art. Students are encouraged to explore and have input as to what they would like to paint. Tuition is $65 |
