At Bower Center for the Arts, we believe that inspiring creativity starts with creating welcoming, functional spaces where artists, students, and community members can thrive. That's why we're excited to share progress on several facility improvement projects currently underway throughout our historic building.
Thanks to the generous support of a grant from the Schewel Foundation, we have begun making important upgrades that will enhance both the appearance and functionality of our facility for years to come.
One of the most noticeable changes can be found in our main classroom, where we have expanded the space and reorganized our art supply storage. This improved layout creates a more efficient and accessible learning environment for instructors and students alike, making it easier to focus on creativity and hands-on exploration. New organizational systems are helping us better utilize the space while keeping materials readily available for the many classes and workshops that take place each week.
Visitors will also notice new flooring in our kitchen area. Replacing worn surfaces is an important step in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and functional facility for the many community events, receptions, and educational programs hosted at Bower Center throughout the year.
These updates are part of a larger effort to preserve and improve our historic home while ensuring it continues to meet the evolving needs of our community. Additional work supported through this project includes continued facility improvements that enhance accessibility, safety, and usability throughout the building.
While these projects remain a work in progress, we're grateful for the opportunity to invest in spaces that support creativity, connection, and lifelong learning. We extend our sincere thanks to the Schewel Foundation for helping make these improvements possible and for supporting Bower Center's mission to elevate the community through the transformative power of the arts.
