Root 2 Music!

ROOT 2 MUSIC began as the musical intersection of Deep South country blues and Celtic/Appalachian fiddle music.

Root 2 Music features fiddle, guitar, harmony vocals, percussion plus additional miscellaneous instruments. David Frank and Nancy Reid began Root 2 Music over 15 years ago.
Root 2 Music has won recognition at the Appalachian String Band Festival (Clifftop) and at the International Blues Challenge (Beale Street, Memphis) and is well known along the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia for fun and music. In mathematical terms, Root 2 cannot be expressed as the ratio of two integers. Irrational? Yes! Nondeterministic? Perhaps, but always a pleasant surprise.

Tickets: $20 in advance, $25 at the door

"The one man show "A Story and a Song '' is partially a love letter about life as a child in the Appalachian Mountains. Part eclectic roots music and part memoir. Mostly, it's a heartfelt journey into the souls of a people... my people, our heritage and who we honestly are."

Mountain Sam Wheelock is an authentic part of the heritage of the music and subculture of the southern Appalachians. His knowledge of the region's music runs deep. Sam's understanding of his people makes him a treasure. The sound of his Tennessee voice resonates sorrow and joy in every note, in every story and connects all of us.

Join us for an unforgettable performance on Saturday, June 8th from 7-8:30pm

Tickets: $20 in advance, $25 at the door
