Art of Wellness June 20th

Explore wellness through the creation of art such as music, painting & drawing, and yoga. Exploring these different art forms can help us make new friends, maintain focus at school, participate better in sports, and sleep better at night.

Meet the Instructors

Paddy Dougherty: Music

Paddy Braunstein graduated from Randolph-Macon Woman's College with her B.A. in psychology. A lifelong musician, she began teaching music. In 2006, she took leave to tour professionally as a backup singer for a national act and later joined the award-winning songwriting organization, Kid Pan Alley, writing over 300 songs with more than 7,500 children nationwide. She was an adjunct instructor of guitar and songwriting at Sweet Briar College for several years and continues to teach private piano, voice, and guitar lessons in her home in Forest, VA. When not teaching, Paddy most enjoys time at the lake with her husband, Glenn, and their five young grandchildren.

Kathy Graham: Yoga & Movement

Kathy Graham took her first yoga class in September of 2000 and was immediately hooked. In 2004, she began teaching and currently offers classes in her studio in Bedford, VA. She also travels to hold class in the Huddleston/Smith Mountain Lake and Sedalia/Big Island areas.

“My intention is to encourage, facilitate and support nurturing experiences...I want our time together to feel good, be meaningfully informative and playfully rejuvenating.”

Linda Keltz: Painting & Drawing

Linda Keltz is a retired teacher from Bedford County Public Schools where she taught various subjects, including art and writing. As an artist, she works with various mediums including painting, drawing, and Papier-mâché. Linda maintains a passion for teaching and frequently spends her time as a substitute teacher in Bedford County Schools.
