Finding the Light: Animals in the Landscape

Description

Sharpen your observation skills and deepen your understanding of oil painting in this engaging intermediate-level class focused on learning to truly see as a painter. We will be continuing the discovery of light and colors, especially considering values and edges. We will work on seeing shapes, understanding values, light, and subtle color shifts- not just copying a picture.

Instructor Bio: 

Color is at the heart of everything I create.  As a fine artist living and working in Bedford, Virginia, I am constantly inspired by the beauty around me.  I work primarily in acrylics and oils, gaining my inspiration by my love of vibrant color, strong value relationships and the emotional impact of light.  Through careful brushwork and expressive compositions, I work toward creating artwork that balances energy, movement and atmosphere. I strive for my work to reflect my passion for capturing both the beauty of everyday moments and the feeling behind them, inviting viewers to connect through color, light and emotion.
