Now accepting artisans to participate in Bower Center's Winter Gifts, an annual gift shop fundraiser.  You may register online or download the form below and submit via email or dropping off at Bower Center.

Winter Gifts, Bower Center’s Annual Art Fundraiser is comprised of smaller size works that make giving arts and crafts to friends and family an easy choice. This fundraiser features one-of-a-kind gifts such as pottery, jewelry, paintings, home decor, holiday ornaments, gnomes, and more from regional artists where 50% of the sales benefit the overall operations and programs at Bower Center for the Arts. 

How does this support Bower Center?

Items entered to the Winter Gifts Showcase will be displayed for sale in our gift gallery. A minimum of 50% of the proceeds from item sales will go to support Bower Center for the Arts, your community art center.  These funds directly contribute to the continued success of the programming, events, and facilities provided to the Bedford community including:

  • Arts and cultural enrichment classes for children and adults 
  • Support of Bedford County school's arts program curriculum and faculty through exhibition space, professional development, and supplemental classes
  • Concerts for local and regional musicians, theater productions and recital spaces
  • Local, Regional, and National Art Exhibits
  • Free family-friendly art activities with CAB Kids
  • Healing Arts programing for individuals with disabilities, emotional needs and more through heARTworks.

What are the guidelines?

  • Work in any media will be accepted
  • 3D items must be smaller than 20" wide x 14" tall
  • 2D work must be properly framed to hang (no cardboard loops, no sawtooth hooks)
  • Care will be taken to protect all art, Bower Center cannot be responsible for damage or loss. Works will be insured for retail price less 50% commission.
  • Items must be priced no higher that $150.00

Time

Winter Gifts will be open during normal hours of operation. Tues-Sat, 11 am-3 pm and during our exhibit receptions, concerts and Mistletoe Maker's Market event from November 24 through January 24, 2026.

Pricing

There is no cost to participate. Artists are just asked to donate a minimum 50% of the proceeds from the sale of their work to Bower Center for the Arts.
