Wheel Throwing for Middle and High School

Description

Calling all Middle and High School students! 

Come learn to throw clay on the wheel! We’ll discuss the basics of wheel throwing and explore different techniques to center clay and shape it into cylinders and bowls as the basic forms from which we move into other forms. Because we will be working on the wheel and there are 4 wheels in the studio, class size will be limited to insure that all students have access to the wheel each session. Please note: There will be no class on April 6.

Mondays, March 9 - April 20 (skipping April 6) from 7pm - 8:30pm

INSTRUCTOR BIO:

Olivia is a hobby ceramicist who learned the art here at the Bower Center and has fallen in love. She has recently built a home studio where she shares her love for ceramics with her two youngest children.


CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Cancellations made 1 week or more in advance of the class date will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made within 3 - 6 days will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours to the class will not be refunded.
    • Students will have the option to transfer registration to another class in place of receiving a refund.
    • Special consideration will be given to cancellations due to health-related issues and family emergencies.
  • If you plan miss a session of class, please inform your instructor, or email our Program Coordinator, Lauren Hood, at L.hood@bowercenter.org
    • There will be no refunds or discounts given for missed classes.
