Description

This hands-on class taught by Lori Stetson is designed for students who have completed the level one class or who have basic painting experience and wish to further develop their skills. It is also a good refresher for artists who have been away from their easels for a while.

Ages 16+

The fundamentals of proportion, perspective, composition, brush strokes and color mixing will be studied in more depth. New topics added will include using pallet knives and other brush alternatives, working with live animal subjects, and creating miniatures (the artist's snack). This class is designed to build each artist's confidence in their abilities while challenging them to explore new and unfamiliar techniques.

MATERIALS LIST:

· Sketchbook (Student Responsibility)

· Paint, canvases, pallet knives and other tools will be provided

· Cancellations made 1 week or more in advance of the class date will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made within 3 - 6 days will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours to the class will not be refunded.

o Students will have the option to transfer registration to another class in place of receiving a refund.

o Special consideration will be given to cancellations due to health-related issues and family emergencies.
