Description

In this workshop we will create an heirloom Father Christmas dressed in velvet and trimmed with imagination and love. Pick up your all-inclusive materials kit, bring your sewing tools and gather with new friends to make your 2024 Christmas Masterpiece. For ages 16 and up!

Pre-registration is required. Registration ends 9/24/24. Indicate your choice of color (green, red, gold, white) and skin tone (light or dark).  Visit www.santasia.biz for Father Christmas inspiration!

This class will be done in two installments. The first session is October 8th and the second is October 29th.

STUDENT NEEDS TO BRING:

• Personal sewing kit to include:
  • thread to match coat color choice
  • white thread
  • needles
  • sewing pins
  • scissors
• Optional extra accessories to personalize Santa (also available for purchase on the first day of class)
• Glue Gun/Glue Sticks
• Brown Fine Point Marker (the brown needs to be darker than the chosen skin tone)

INSTRUCTOR BIO:

Susan Saxton is a Bedford resident, a lifelong crafter, a handful of years potter and the originator of Santasia. Santasia is a varied collection of handmade Santa’s from whimsical paper mâché, wooden primitives and old-world inspiration. The Father Christmas’s we will create in this workshop is the cultivation of over thirty years of crafting and original design – all done by Saxton.

Cancellation Policy:

• Cancellations made 1 week or more in advance of the class date will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made within 3 - 6 days will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours to the class will not be refunded.
• Students will have the option to transfer registration to another class in place of receiving a refund.
• Special consideration will be given to cancellations due to health-related issues and family emergencies.
