In this Therapeutic Art-Making class, the facilitator plays a crucial role in ensuring that participants can confidently and appropriately engage their creative expression. The focus is on providing guidance, support, and a safe space for you to explore and make sense of your experiences through the art medium, promoting personal growth and emotional well-being.
Both wheel throwing and hand-building, including sculptural work, is made available to participants.

Students will be provided with a 25 lb bag of stoneware clay, various tools, and glaze options.
INSTRUCTOR BIO
Thomas is a professional potter and educator with 15 years of experience leading talks in well-being and creative workshops. He holds a Bachelor’s of Applied Sciences in social studies, is trained in Chaplaincy, and has completed advanced training in family counseling, mindfulness-based expressive arts, and trauma-informed group facilitation. Thomas’s approach, known as 'Art as Therapy,' focuses on guiding participants through sensory and kinesthetic experiences to promote self-awareness and general emotional wellness. Please note: Thomas is a Therapeutic Art Facilitator, not a Licensed Art Therapist (LAT) or other licensed mental health professional.
