** Canceled ** *** Adults 15 years and older *** Class is 6 sessions, starting September 21 - October 26 from 6-8pm. Prior experience throwing is needed to take this class. This class is designed for students who are comfortable behind the pottery wheel. We will be focusing on the mastery of the basics of throwing while developing strength and development of newer, more advanced skills through the guidance of the instructor. Students are encouraged to present ideas for projects or skills they would like to complete in class. Price includes one 25lb bag of clay. Your instructor is Sarah Echols. Sarah is a certified teacher for grades p-5(GA certificate) and has worked in public, private (Montessori) schools, but largely in environmental education. -Currently Sarah is spearheading and leading a group of at home learners on a year long nature study of a section of the Creekside Trail in Lynchburg. So, she is very plugged into the homeschool community. -Sarah has taught wheel throwing classes before, and also has been a member of many local studios throughout her life. Since relocating to Lynchburg in 2017, Sarah has started her own pottery studio and produces her work from there.
