Imagine a world where unicorns graze on fields of moonlight, dragons soar through skies painted with sunset hues, and mischievous sprites dance amongst the roots of ancient trees. In this class, you'll become a sculptor of dreams, bringing these fantastical beings and enchanting realms to life through the magic of clay. Learn to coax clay into fantastical shapes, from the delicate wings of a butterfly to the powerful claws of a griffin. Experiment with textures, colors, and surface treatments to add a touch of enchantment to your creations. 

Techniques: 

• Pinch: Create small, intricate details like eyes, horns, or scales. 
• Coil: Build up the bodies of larger creatures or construct elaborate structures. 
• Slab: Form wings, armor, or create textured surfaces.

This class is for students in grades 6th - 12th.

INSTRUCTOR BIO: 

Olivia is a hobby ceramicist who learned the art here at the Bower Center and has fallen in love. She has recently built a home studio where she shares her love for ceramics with her two youngest children.
