The basis of "fiber art" is the creation of a fine art piece uses fibrous material, natural or synthetic, and employs a variety of techniques and embellishments, including (but not limited to): quilting, knitting, embroidery, thread painting, needle felting, and weaving. They can be wall hung, sculptural, or wearable and can be both decorative or utilitarian.
Thank you to the Garden family for their generous sponsorship of the awards for this stunning exhibit.
