Description

Virginia singer/songwriter, Paddy Dougherty, performs a mix of jazz standards, commanding originals, and uplifting folk tunes on piano and guitar. Paddy, known regionally as the voice of the award-winning band, Mainstreet Rhythm & Blues, also spent time on the road as a backup singer for national bluesman, David Bromberg. She had several of her songs fully orchestrated by legendary arranger, Charles Calello, and performed in concert with the Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra and Rita Coolidge. 

For five years, she toured as a songwriter with Kid Pan Alley writing hundreds of songs with thousands of children and after nearly 30 years of teaching music, Paddy has recently retired from the classroom to return to the stage. Joining her at The Bower Center for the Arts are long time bandmates Larry Scott/drums, Robin Tolley/bass, and Glenn Buck/keyboards and saxophone.

Cancellation Policy: You may request to cancel your ticket for a full refund, up to 72 hours before the date and time of the event. Cancellations made two days before the event may be transferred to a different concert in the same year. Cancellation requests made within 24 hours of the concert may not receive a refund nor a transfer.
